Pathways to independence
Pathways to Independence is a hands-on life skills program designed to help youth develop the everyday skills needed to become more confident and independent at home, in the community, and in future work environments.
Through structured instruction and engaging real-world activities, youth practice essential skills that support independent living, responsibility, and workplace readiness.
Program Structure
Youth attend one session per week, where they engage in structured activities that build life and vocational skills through real-world practice.
Monthly Community Practice
Once each month, youth participate in a community-based learning experience where they apply their skills in real-life settings such as:
• Grocery stores
• Laundromats
• Retail stores
• Community businesses
These outings help youth build confidence and learn how to navigate everyday environments more independently.

IEP & SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY
Understanding your child’s IEP, services, and educational rights can feel confusing and overwhelming. Our advocacy services are designed to help families feel confident, informed, and supported when navigating the special education process.
We assist families with:
• IEP and evaluation review
• ARD/IEP meeting preparation and support
• Understanding special education services and accommodations
• Transition planning for life after high school
• Guidance on communicating with schools and service providers
Our goal is to ensure families feel empowered and equipped to make informed decisions that support their child’s growth, independence, and future success.
PARENT EDUCATION & COACHING
COMING SOON!
Our Parent Coaching & Family Support Workshops are designed to help families feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate services and plan for their child’s future. Workshops provide practical guidance on transition planning, decision-making, and understanding local agency supports, including how to access and apply for available resources. Sessions are educational, collaborative, and focused on real-life application, helping families build clarity, confidence, and consistency across home, school, and community settings.
